What Does My HR Business Need to Include in Its Newsletter?

Newsletters are a great way to keep your current and prospective clients informed on what’s going on in your HR company. They essentially wrap everything up in a nice bow of industry trends, company news, and special offerings all in one place. Newsletters are typically easier to read and digest the information than a typical long form blog post, making them great for giving tidbits of information (with resources for more in depth information).

Be easily readable

While your newsletter should contain relevant and important information, it isn’t the place to go into great detail. Too many details will make it difficult to read. The best practice is to have just enough information with resources such as your website, where readers can go for further information.

Be consistent with your brand

Think of everything that makes up your brand - your logo, your company colors, your brand story, your brand voice. These things need to be consistent across the board and your company newsletter is no exception. People can see it from a mile away when your brand is inconsistent, and this can cause potential clients to question how established your brand really is.

Have relevant information

You’re an HR business, likely providing training, HR consulting, outsourcing, or something along those lines. Think about what information is relevant to your clients. They likely aren’t going to want to hear about marketing trends in the tech industry. They’re going to want to know about things like open enrollment, diversity and inclusion training, HR compliance, employee retention strategies, etc. Not to mention this only builds your company’s reputability and thought leadership in the HR industry. Be sure to keep in mind any special offers your company is running that directly relate to this information, so you can book more clients.
